HorseHilltop Lakes, located near Normangee, Texas, is a golf course community and so much more and is a wonderful place to call home for about 500 residents. Amenities on the Hill:

For a low monthly fee of $65, there are many amenities here including, but not limited to, horseback riding with stables for horses, putt putt golf, Texas-shaped swimming pool, campgrounds, several lakes for boating and fishing, an 18-hole well manicured golf course, a lighted runway for airplanes, the Lodge for dining and holding social functions for the community, a non-denominational chapel, its own fire station with EMS, post office, a motel/villas, a library, RV/boat storage and a family-community for those who call the Lakes at Hilltop their home.

One can enjoy nature at its best as you listen to the birds chirping each morning and evening, watch baby deer playing and the momma deer grazing right in the the serenity of your beautiful back yard which is commonly covered with mature oak trees. Are you into bird watching? For those who are, there are many types of birds to see, feed, take picturs of, and enjoy their annual return.

Because you are in a golf course community, you can enjoy nature watching, etc. by means of traveling in your golf cart, which is the main source of transportation for those ‘on the hill’, a term commonly used for those who are residents of Hill top.

The golf course is a mature, tree covered course which is well manicured and hosts many tournaments throughout the year. It also has many hills and valleys, several water hazards and just a beautiful, yet challenging course.

There is a ladies’ and mens’ group that play a different format daily which is very popular and enjoyable for all of those who participate. It is a great way to interact on the course and form relationships off the course. Normangee is about 9 miles away and includes a major grocery store, beauty shops, banks, service stations, nursery, Dollar General, Post Office, Tractor Company, several restaurants, insurance company, flooring company, florists, and more.
